@ChuckCook @wholemars My personal opinion is they want to lower rates of interventions so they have better statistics to tell regulator's which is fair. I do hope that they can find the right balance. And owners not do stupid stuff for virtual points. But people are stupid 🤷‍♂️

@PolitlcsUK They removed individual memory chips because no matter what it has a lot of value even if it's locked down software wise. All of these extra steps won't help just make repairs less possible and harder to recycle devices

@teslaflexx @brandenflasch I do agree it could be good. But Tesla as of late hasn't really been as owner friendly. Removal of autopilot, fsd transfers or ownership. I could imagine $100 been the starting point since they have a captured market

After selling out a few days ago, @Tesla has just uploaded a lot more used Cybertrucks on their inventory website, but with higher average pricing. Prices now start at $72,900 for a used 2024 Foundation Series Cybertruck with 32,845 miles (vs $66,200 a few days ago for a used 2024 Foundation Series with 2,566 miles). Prices currently peak at $96,100 for a used Cyberbeast Foundation Series with 14,927 miles. There are various Foundation and non-Foundation Series trucks available, including 2024 and 2025 model year trucks. These are different used trucks than the ones from a few days ago since the milage numbers are different. Tesla will transport one to any Tesla delivery location of your choice in the continental US for up to $2,500. Keep in mind the $2,500 delivery transportation fee is an estimate and will be confirmed once an order is placed. Link to used inventory in thread below:

The FSD computer in my dads Model 3 just crashed while he was using FSD. Threw up the red hands and stopped working Rest of the computer was fine, but FSD computer just crashed

@sib1013 @SawyerMerritt The UK banned carriers from selling locked phones a decade ago and plans are far cheaper still than the US. Fuck the carrier monopoly. When you sign up to a plan you are agreeing to contract length. The phone been unlocked doesn't change that. You're paying the term regardless

Yeah… this is - at best - misguided. If consumers want unlocked phones, they can buy them. Alternatively, if they want a subsidized phone, it is locked in order that the carriers can make back the subsidy. Limiting the length of locking will ultimately only reduce the max amount of subsidy that carriers can offer, thereby reducing consumer choice.

Damn! I had a subscriber who bought a Model 3 for $14,000 with the old Nvidia computer and got an estimate for $1,065 to upgrade to AI3 so the car could run FSD. A few of my subscribers and I chipped in to cover the upgrade cost, but Tesla Orlando-Eatonville keeps finding other issues with the car that they say are essential and safety critical, making the upgrade cost almost 3x what they originally forecast. If this is any sign of what's to come, upgrading all these cars to AI4 is going to be a lot more expensive than expected...

Ok this one's crazy. I see a squirrel. FSD has a better track record than me for dodging them so I leave FSD on. But then FSD doesn't react AT ALL to the squirrel! It hits the squirrel! 😭 Then the car starts slowing down...which confused me because I INTENTIONALLY left FSD on. I notice the pop up, FSD disengaged. No FSD chime. Notice that it doesn't disengage until right when the car goes over the squirrel. During the entire squirrel debacle, my hands were literally up by my face like this 😱. So essentially FSD hit a squirrel, and then blamed it on me.
