My thoughts, prayers and support go out to all the Pilots, Flight Crew and employees of @SpiritAirlines tonight. Nothing is official yet, but transcontinental flights scheduled to land after midnight are starting to cancel. It seems the shutdown is happening. I know as a @Jetblue Captain any crewmember needing a ride home will get my full support if I can help you. We are all in this together, but you are bearing the brunt of this downturn first. Stay strong. 🫶🫶🫶

my parents bought a tesla model 3 and there's nothing else like it. the most astonishing capability is self-driving. their tesla can drive them from their driveway to their destination, including parking in a busy parking lot, without disengaging once. comparing Tesla's self-driving to other automakers is like comparing an iPhone 17 to one of those grey brick phones from the 80s. it's kind of embarrassing. a week before they bought the tesla, my dad told me he didn't think he'd be driving much longer since he's pretty old. the tesla just extended his independence by years. feeling grateful for all tesla has done.

@ChuckCook @grok @briandstone Did you have the same energy when roughly 51,000 to over 100,000 federal workers were reported as laid off or targeted for termination under the initiatives led by Donald Trump and Elon Musk (Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE)?

A new version of FSD v14.3.2 build 2026.2.9.10 is downloading to both of my vehicles. This is the same version of FSD as the last build. I am out of town until Monday so will be looking for change updates from the others.

I think it’s time @Tesla starts running ads about how economical their vehicles are. I was listening to a podcast with @DevinOlsenn were he mentioned at first he didn’t even consider Tesla due to the thought that they were priced as luxury vehicles and then as soon as I got to my appointment I heard the infamous “Business must be really good if your driving a Tesla.” People still seem to have the preconceived notion that Teslas are extremely expensive and out of reach, but in reality, they are the most economical vehicles on the planet and the starting cost is not what people think. I’m saving tens of thousands of dollars in fuel and maintenance every year by driving a Tesla. @elonmusk @wholemars

None of these fit my disengagement reason and I don't want to send Tesla wrong data so I didn't pick one. But now I can't enter my destination into the nav so I'm trapped here forever

It seemed to loosen the logic of having to find the type of parking selected. Before if parking lot was selected, it looped and looped looking for a parking lot, now it will go into a diagonal spot. Additionally with street parking selected, it did a curbside style park for me too. So I am not sure its better, but the logic gives it more options or something like that.

Feels like FSD 14.3.2 isn't getting stuck in a loop looking for parking anymore. Or am I just getting lucky?

This news article discusses photo evidence citations that prove humans are bad at school buses too. FSD has been much better on v13+ with school buses when stopped. I haven't had any issues, but this scenario is difficult to test without looking like a stalker. actionnewsjax.com/news/local/600…

The CamCut app is now over 50,000 lines of code. I can finally see the finish line. I haven’t written or looked at a single line of code. I started vibe coding on April 1st and within two hours I had a fully working baseline iPhone app. The main feature was extracting telemetry from Tesla dashcam videos and displaying it in the viewer. That’s the most basic version of the CamCut app, and it took just two hours. And every day for the 28 days, I’ve been meticulously designing every detail. How I want the app to look, how I want it to function, with the user experience at the forefront of every decision. I want anyone to be able to use it, from the casual user to the most experienced FSD video creator. I also have not typed a single line of instruction to the agent. Everything has been me directing it verbally through speech to text. From features to fixing bugs, everything has been a conversation. Before I add any feature, we come up with a detailed plan, and I spend time making sure we both understand what needs to be implemented and that we’re on the same page. Initially, I started with Claude Code, and that was working well until we hit a few really tough bugs that just wouldn’t get solved no matter how many times we tried. So I switched to OpenAI Codex and it turned out to be really good at solving the exact things Claude was getting stuck on. Codex is a damn smart cookie. Since then, we became a team. I’m the conductor, and Claude and Codex are the orchestra. If I need something complex done, I usually ask Codex. Otherwise, I have Claude write the plan, have Codex review it, and then have Claude implement it. Anything related to user interface, I defer to Claude. It just seems to have a better understanding of layout, buttons, fonts, that kind of stuff. This has probably been one of the most fun and addicting experiences of my life. It’s such an exhilarating experience to be creative and not worry about the technical side as much. You just say what you want, and it gets done. It’s a really powerful feeling. And even though I’m not a great talker, not having to write anything and just explaining things verbally is a game changer. I think a lot of people are used to typing instructions and are hesitant to switch to speaking. Speaking is probably my weakest skill. As an introvert, I don’t say much. So expressing myself like this has always been challenging, but LLMs are really good at understanding intent, even from broken sentences. Speech to text will sometimes generate completely different words, but when you read the full sentence, it still understands the context of what I meant.  In a few days, I’m planning to submit the app to the App Store. My first time ever. We’ll find out if this is spaghetti code, or if this is actually the way to build stuff going forward. So far, the feedback from the TestFlight beta testers has been positive. I really appreciate the people that have taken the time to provide constructive feedback. You have to know what the pain points for a user are in order to improve the experience. There are still a few challenging hurdles before this goes live, but it’s close. It’s a wild time to be alive. I hoped I’ve sparked curiosity in those who are hesitant to take the leap. Please Reach out if you need help getting started. Oh by the way out of curiosity, I asked both agents what it would cost to build the version of the app I have today if I hired an independent developer a few years ago. They said $250K to $500K. I’ve spent around $200 in subscription fees. That’s insane!

Today I had the opportunity to give a beekeeping lesson to about 50 four-year-olds. They were eager to learn about the bees and how they integrate into our lives. Teaching these lessons keeps me engaged in what really matters: passing it on to the next generation so they don't have to learn the same hard lessons we worked so hard to learn. Young children have such interesting questions, some just wanna talk about the Cybertruck, some just want to taste the honey. They all come from a pure place that can and will grow into the leaders of the next generation.
