Enthuware Java Certification OCA OCP
An OCP Java 17 1Z0-829 certification exam taker reported that they got 5-7 questions (out of 50) on Serialization, which means the exam designers consider it to be a very important component of the Java language. When did you use Java serialization last?

@lukaseder If the method is not well thought out, using the suggested name will only cause confusion down the line and if the method is well thought out, you won't need any help naming it.

@deedydas Two opposite pulls - India has a huge number of kids to educate and one size doesn't fit all. There is space for all sorts of smarts - having students who can crack JEE style questions in the country is as important as having students who can think out of the box.

Ved scored the highest in 64yrs of IIT JEE with a 355/360 ranking #1 of 1M+. Happy for him, but what's the point of this kind of education system? This learning is not remotely curiosity-driven. Teacher said study X, I studied X. I wanted marks, got marks. Nothing unnecessary.

Students at @iiit_hyderabad, supposed to be one of the top engineering colleges in the country, are in an ongoing health crisis caused due to appalling mismanagement and negligence going on since well over a year. 🧵👇on mass typhoid breakouts, food poisoning, underreporting..

I think people who shifted abroad during the last 10 years have no right to talk about the election results. If you feel so strongly about India, you should have stayed back. Hypocrites.

@sur3shg @imsofresh_x @shanselman Although having power tools is not the same as having the expertise to use them, I would still want to have them rather than not. async await is a great tool but not as an alternative to v threads. Java will have it by Java 33!

@rixlabs Wrong. Mgmt is a necessary evil. If there is no PM and if the team is "working well", someone on the team is being shortchanged.

Project managers are useless If you have one or more well performing teams working on a system the role of the PM is minimal. Be sure there are enough resources. For us in software this in most cases means People and maybe some money for Cloud or OnPrem infrastructure. Any other interaction of PM is an invasion of the team competences. So PM let the team work and be sure to do your job properly, cause in my experience they always try to interfere with the team work and when they need to provide resources or informations about them they rarely can.

10 things a polyglot programmer needs to know when switching to a new language: 1. Typing system - static, dynamic, fixed 2. Available data types - primitives and reference 3. Parameter passing - by value, by reference, both 4. Arrays - jagged or matrix like

@tagir_valeev A large number of IT books are written by non-native-English speakers. These are ghost authored by an additional native English speaking "editor". Do they qualify for the "100% natural" tag?

Hey @trisha_gee! On the topic of not knowing what happened to the last few years, I got bad news for you: The java.time package was added in Java 8, which was released in March 2024, which was - checks calendar - ten years ago. Welcome to 2024! 😜
