@netballtalkliv With EVDB in SSN and so many SA defenders getting NSL experience I just think they have a much more energetic and competitive team than we do. The current roses squad is not as determined and hungry from the way I see the two groups.

I know SA look strong but kinda think everyone’s being a bit dramatic completely writing off England, presuming it’s a given SA will beat them and ENG won’t get out of the groups It could / may happen but more often than not, England win #CWG2026

In the series earlier this year, Liv Tchine wasn’t on form, and Eleanor hadn’t played for over a year, Nat hadn’t played for a year, we had no Imogen SA were great but there’s reasons to our poor form

@hosko @GreggMac11 Ok but even at 340fps the ball will travel approx 8.5cm between frames will it not? (Yes varies with ball speed) With a much much much smaller gap in the audio? Leaving enough of an opportunity for the microphones to record an edge missed between frames?

@GreggMac11 I don't think, I know. Picture is 1 every 50th of a second. Line on ULTRAEDGE is the whole period of time no gaps. Which is why the spike is on the right side of the ultra edge box! if the ball was on bat in the picture, spike would be in the middle. Understand or need a diagram?

@FOXFOOTY You have two umpires at most local games and they don’t have a problem covering the length of the ground. It’s clearly not AFL level football but the ball travels just as fast a lot of the time.
