Imagine if this many people could show as much passion about climate change, fighting misogyny and violence against women, class inequality and racism, about trans rights and disabled lives as they do about football... Just imagine what could be done in a world like that...

Bank guy pulls long face when asked to print statements so I ask if he’s ok. Says reeling from England’s loss. I offer my sympathies. Next he irritatedly asks why I can’t print statements myself. Why not show same anger for women suffering football-related domestic violence?
