Poorly worded but fair question by the reporter. Cathy Engelbert has been under fire for a long time, so for her to make this about being a woman is ridiculous. Esp w a female reporter asking the question 😂Countless male coaches in every sport are asked this exact question bc it’s based on job performance, not sex. This is exhausting.

They also put up with a ton of crap from kids and parents and in public schools and have very little recourse. This can feel more like child care than education many days.
Many work evenings and weekends grading and preparing lesson plans.
Most coach or work summer school as well to make ends meet.
They can only take vacations when the rest of the world is also on vacation.
I think teachers are unappreciated and in many areas underpaid for what they do.
It is an insanely hard profession when excited on correctly.
