it must be so hard to be a parent and to be so fucking proud/have so much love for your child. I bet it would take EVERY ONCE of control not to want to share your little gift with the world. for those of you who don't post your kids- I think from personal experience they will thank you for it I have young parents and I've been reflecting recently about how much of ME (good bad and ugly) they put online for our community to see and judge before I was old enough to understand the repercussions of that. Sometimes it felt like social media was a tool my parents would use to control me by publicly shaming or praising me to other adults in our circle. I would have to see those adults at church or outside of the internet and they would all have opinions about me based on my parents limited narrative. It doesn't feel good to be used as a pawn to get your mom or dad some engagement on Facebook/Twitter/ect.
