@omar_dddg So Spanish law dictates that slaughterers must be Christian? Or are atheists and other religions allowed to work in abattoirs as well? Because that would change everything.

@Loranza80 @Cdyrud1 @Sachinettiyil He doesn't want to physically kiss another woman. He has no issue with the fact that he has to kiss, as evidenced by the fact that he got his wife to play the character he had to kiss.
English

I understand that completely. I was saying I don't understand his logic. That's all.
For me, it doesn't make sense. Kissing is drawing the line, but not rape and sodomy. I'd rather kiss someone than portray a demonic rapist. It doesn't matter that he doesn't commit the act on scene, it's heavily insinuated.

Neil McDonough, a devout Catholic actor known for his refusal to do kissing or sex scenes out of respect for his wife, Ruvé, recently made a rare exception—but with a twist. In his latest film, the script called for a kiss at the end, so McDonough convinced his wife to play the role of the woman he kisses. That way, he could stay true to both the character and his convictions.
The couple, who have five children together, made the creative decision to preserve his long-standing vow while honoring the demands of the story. McDonough has previously paid a steep price for his moral stance. In 2010, he lost a $1 million role on the ABC show Scoundrels after refusing to perform sex scenes with actress Virginia Madsen.
“They said, ‘You have to do it, or you're fired.’ I said, ‘Then fire me,’ and they did,” he recalled. “I was blackballed for two years. I couldn’t find work, and because of that, I lost my big beautiful house in L.A., my shiny Mercedes, everything—including my confidence. It was crushing. People saw me as some kind of religious fanatic. But for me, it was just about doing what I believed was right. And above all, I love my wife. As I’ve said a million times—these lips are meant for one woman.”

@RomanjiAlexina @IamChizay @Hoopss Who said it's gonna be cash? Even if it was, I'd rather have $2 million in bills appear in my home at the end of the night when I'm alone than my pockets constantly filling up with coins when I'm out and about.

@IamChizay @Hoopss dirty or clean or not, the family notices and they're gonna be askin

@imranzhr I've really only heard that opinion from people actively involved with interest. It's probably a minority view, but most ulema will say that school loan interest is riba. Regardless, OP follows that opinion and it has nothing to do with salafism; you'll find that view among many.
English

Omds these people can’t be real get out of the salafi circles pls

Its that very system of "tipping" that provides incentive for them to provide you with good service. If everyone makes the same regardless of performance then why would they bust their ass for you? They won't. And the service will be shit. Plus, if the restaurant had to absorb that cost they're going to pass it on to you. So in the end, you'll still be paying the same but with shitty service.
English

I’m usually a strong tipper. I respect the work and understand how tough restaurant jobs can be—but tipping is still tied to service.
Tonight started off rough. I walked in, waited at a “please wait to be seated” sign, and got no acknowledgment. Eventually, I had to ask if they were even seating people. I got seated, ordered, food came out, and yes—the server checked in.
But when it came time to leave, everything fell apart.
I had cash ready—a $20 and a $10—and planned to ask for $5 back, leaving about a $7 tip on an $18 tab. I know I’m a one-top, so I try to tip a little extra to make up for it.
The check gets dropped… and then nothing. No follow-up, no effort to close it out. I’m just sitting there, clearly ready to pay and leave. At a certain point, I’m not going to wait indefinitely just to hand someone a bigger tip.
Total was $18.36. I left $20 and walked out.
That’s not about being cheap—it’s about not being stuck waiting just to pay. If it takes longer to close out than it did to eat, something’s off.
Take care of your customers, and they’ll take care of you.

@14Times_ So you're saying they don't charge interest on student loans?
