@richardfoote @oraclebase Yearly and smaller releases. So they did exactly the opposite, stuffed full with big new features (to an LTS version??) and then delayed yet another year for the rather useless vector thing. Vector should have been in 24ai and 23c released in 2023.

@oraclebase I was at Oracle when they announced yearly releases and I remember how laughable it was to succeed. It was designed to avoid an Oracle 13 release and they gave up on the concept a while back, but it’s interesting to see them still struggle to release DBs to any real schedule… 🤷‍♂️
