@oraclebase If you have the time, could you perhaps show us the path to your success in this area as well?

I've been playing with the "gemma4:e2b" model on my crappy old laptop. It is surprisingly fast with good results. I think this will be my new default small model when playing with local LLMs using Ollama or LM Studio.

@MartinDBA I've played around with OpenClaw hooked up to local LLMs using Ollama and LM Studio. Not tried specifically Codex.

@oraclebase Did you manage to include it in a coding agent? I totally failed to get it to work on files using codex. Would have been nice to ask it to peer review a file in my project directory.

@chris_slattery The same thing you ask any LLM. It's just a model that is running on your PC, rather than on the cloud.

@oraclebase Will there be a CSPU this month? Oracle announced new monthly patches to address's high sev vulnerabilities.

The Oracle Database 19c (19.31) patches are now listed on MOS, but the download fails for me when using the MOS website. I am able to download them using AutoUpgrade though. See here. oracle-base.com/articles/misc/…

@oraclebase Patch download w autoupgrade works but creating gold image with autoupgrade will be denied: The RU version specified in the configuration file, 19.31, is newer than the version being recommended by the Oracle Update Advisor service.

If the Chrome event deprecation snafu got you, then patch 16 is your easy fix.

The delayed Linux x86-64 Oracle database patches were scheduled for release today. Looking at the patch notes they have been delayed again, and are now due out on 01-MAY-2026. This is really starting to mess up our patching schedule... 😡
