No two pregnancies feel the same, even in the same woman. The cravings change, the nausea changes, your energy changes, your mood changes. Most women notice this but nobody explains why it happens. The placenta is genetically half the baby's father, and it produces its own hormones. So each baby literally creates a different hormonal environment inside you. If the baby's sex is different, that shift is even more pronounced. Women carrying boys have higher levels of certain inflammatory markers while women carrying girls have higher hCG. Your own body is also different each time because your nutrient stores, your metabolic health, and your stress levels going into each pregnancy are never the same. I noticed this with all three of mine. Each one felt like a unique experience and it is because it was. Your body and that specific baby are a unique combination that will never repeat exactly the same way.

We are an early bedtime for the children household. They need a full nights sleep. I need silence, time to take care of myself and rest. My husband needs time to decompress. My marriage needs the chance for us to be together without being interrupted or pulled away from one another constantly. It’s win win win win all around.

@honey_leee I had my first at 32 and I’m currently 37 and pregnant but will give birth at 38. My husband and I waited to be more financially flexible. Im thinking I may even have a 3rd next year if all goes well.

I think 36/37 is such a good age to have a kid. My mom had me at 36, lots of celebs have kids at that age and everyone I know who’s mom had them in their late thirties is thriving.

@WifeMamaHome This is encouraging. I didnt even find out I was pregnant the first time until I was 4 months because I had no symptoms and currently I am only 12 days pregnant but I have gotten so much round ligament pain in my belly I never got before.

While I’ve only given birth to 5 babies and I have breastfed them all to plumpness and health - and while I’m only 1 woman out of billions, I would like to reject the “each pregnancy gets tougher” narrative. I can’t say the same, every part about it got easier each time.

@SarahHOC @immutableenigma @mom_of_littles Do whatever you want. The school washed to put my husband on meds and my youngest would qualify for needs too. I don't agree with medication except for extreme cases. We all have some type of neurological issues in our brains IMO and medication doesn't help us regulate.

Son is displaying some pretty severe ADHD behavior along with his sensory processing stuff. Pediatrician gave me an evaluation to fill out. Nurse called me back today. Here’s how the convo went. Nurse (super nice): so Dr said it does look like he’s showing some early signs of ADHD. Dr wants to repeat the evaluation in November after he starts school so the teacher can get to know him and fill out the eval. Me: okay and what if we’re homeschooling? Nurse (super rude): uh. IS that what you’re doing? Me: yeah that’s why I said that Nurse (even more rude): okay well if that’s the case then this (the ADHD) doesn’t even matter Me: ……. Like what the heck?? Does ADHD only affect kids negatively when they’re in public school? I hung up the phone after she said that.

I plan my entire work schedule around my son’s homeschool co-op so I can be fully present when he’s home. The tradeoff? I never really get time to myself. Today, for the first time all year, our schedules didn’t match. I’m off work… and he’s at co-op. What should I do? 😀

Look at adults in society. Personally seen & researched the damage putting young kids on meds does. To each their own, I refuse

@immutableenigma @sboutelle21 @mom_of_littles We homeschool. It doesn’t automatically erase the need for meds w/some kids. Also, hormones are a killer for ADHD. I want my child to thrive and if meds help along w/parenting, OT, EF coaching, etc. then that’s what is necessary.
