@IDs_XX Drugs are illegal so not really part of the conversation.
Alcohol is legal and if you’re serious on clamping down, we can start with enforcing that 9pm rule and contraband alcohol that is cheap and too accessible.
Two birds one stone again - More duties and better controls.

It is a “we problem”.
Enforcement is bad cause we enable it by paying bribes, owing favours or doing anything to avoid fines/punishments.
Thus, people think with money they can get away with anything and laws no longer apply to them.
That’s why Malaysia is called Bolehland.

- 50% of MARA 2026 budget
- 1.25x funding for FELDA, RISDA, FELCRA
- 3x funding for enforcement work & JENDELA

Behaviour on roads can be better with better drivers ed (no more lesen kopi) and enforcement.

It’s a lot money and unless there’s an idea to replace that, let’s talk real solutions.

@IDs_XX The alcohol industry is worth RM 7b and employed hundreds of thousands.
The real issue here is not that we don’t have the laws, we do and yes it could go further but what’s the purpose of the laws if the people enforcing the law cannot be trusted to do their jobs.

@IDs_XX Alcohol duties give the govt RM 3.3b in tax revenue. That is a massive amount to start a compensation fund or better enforcement.
If banned, how would the govt replace that revenue? They haven’t banned alcohol because of the tax revenue it generates not for any other reason.

How many % Gov buildings (offices , schools , colleges,hospitals,carparks etc) have installed solar panels?
If not at least 50% , it is a total failure.

To move ahead we need to massive investments in R&D so we can own the patents we manufacture. Higher long term profit and no licensing fee in-fact licensing might become a revenue stream.

1) Our child stunting rate has risen from 20% to 24%
2) From 2019 to 2024, worker wage increases are lower compared to inflation. Workers lost money.

@IDs_XX I know so many people who drive under the influence and aren’t afraid of it cause they can pay the cops off. Many of these people have admitted to paying the cops off.
I tell them not to but I can’t control their decisions and I hate how the system favours the wrongdoers.

I drink but I never drive and yet I’m terrified that despite taking a Grab home some drunken idiot might crash into my Grab.
DUIs are inexcusable but this isn’t a race issue it a legal and enforcement issue.
