Viral ngayon ang isang TikTok video kung saan hinahangaan ng netizens ang isang 77-anyos na lolo sa Cagayan na matiyagang pumapasok sa paaralan sa kabila ng kaniyang edad.
Isang Grade 12 student sa Sampaguita National High School sa Sampaguita, Solana, Cagayan si lolo Mario Ressureccion na kumukuha ng Agri-Fishery Arts sa ilalim ng TVL Track.
Sa naging panayam ng GMA Integrated News, ipinaliwanag ng apo ni lolo Mario na hangarin daw ng 77-anyos na estudyante na makapagtapos ng Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Engineering dahil ang agrikultura ang isa sa mga pinakamahalagang bahagi ng ating bansa.
"I have my personal intuition that tilling the soil technically is a patrimony for me to eliminate the frugality of my life," paliwanag ni lolo Mario sa kaniyang liham bilang tugon sa panayam ng GMA Integrated News.
Ayon naman kay YouScooper James na isang practice teacher na na-deploy sa nasabing paaralan, isang inpirasyon ang turing nila kay lolo Mario.
"He is not my student, but we interns would often talk to him because he was usually in the library where our room was located, and he would sometimes ask us questions.
“I noticed him quite often, and I took a video of him last year because it was my first time seeing a student as old as him in person. I felt that his story was worth sharing online," saad ni YouScooper James.
