@JrueLFG i may be too influenced by this past season to recall but jrue was excellent defensively in 2024. i just remember offensively he did little although given the 16-3 he didnt have to do much
@jaylengoat7 Nah…
Jrue in 2024 Celtics playoffs played more minutes than Derrick and had almost double +/-. Jrue was by far the better player.
Jrue played over Derrick in 2024 Olympics.
Mazzulla, Kerr, Spoelstra, Lue, JVG all said Jrue > Derrick
The All-Time Perfectly Optimized Celtics Team:
2024 Jrue
2009 Ray
1986 Bird
2008 KG
1962 Russell
25 Tatum, 71 Havlicek, 22 Horford to round out the eight man rotation.
@Johnath26846101@RealBobManning we get a rookie in return and we dont really have the roster spots. this is a great use of seconds, get off like 8mm net
Niang trade should be some massive tax relief for the Celtics on top of what they just got from waiving Davison. About to dive into the details but sense this increases likelihood Simons plays out most of this season in Boston.
4th overall pick Kon Knueppel on which Duke alumni he’s looking forward to playing against most:
“Tatum, I think he’s the best Duke player in the league right now… hopefully I’ll get to play him soon.”
this morning I thought Why does no one ever have popcorn for breakfast? It’s just like having a bagel with butter! so I made popcorn for breakfast and learned that the reason people don’t do that is it makes you feel like shit
@KeithSmithNBA fvv + jabari for jrue + third team where fvv goes could be good finishing piece. dont know if boston wants jabari or will give up jrue but seems a good partner for them. or they could go all in on jaylen for amen swap but that would be a big deal money wise that i dont see
With the trade as reported, I've got the Rockets at:
🏀$33.6M under the tax
🏀$41.6M under the first apron
🏀$53.5M under the second apron
That's without Fred VanVleet or Aaron Holiday on the books. Houston can create more wiggle room by waiving Jock Landale and/or Nate Williams.
