Couple of positives for the Celtics from Game 7:
-Neemias Queta played really well, aside from a couple of bad fouls. He should be a big part of whatever the center rotation is next season.
-Hugo Gonzalez had a huge impact, despite not scoring. Future is very bright for him.

That's the tough thing. This group was so much fun all year, because it was very unexpected and they overachieved. But that changes the expectations and the bar for a successful season. Now, it all feels crappy.
In a few days, it'll feel better and everyone will to what's next.

@KeithSmithNBA True. Mazzulla gets some blame cause it’s his game plan, but at the same time the guys just didn’t execute. Everything went so perfect for us this year. Right up until the playoffs started. I feel bad blaming anyone cause i love and trust them all, but they all choked🤷🏻♀️

@KeithSmithNBA Agreed. Shit, I had them in the Finals when the playoffs started. That’s what I mean by the regular season inflating their actual talent level.
But as soon as I saw them deal with Embiid, I realized I was very, very wrong

Yeah, maybe not. But Boston was a huge favorite everywhere and most were picking them to win the East about two weeks ago.
They didn't get it done and blew a 3-1 lead. But that doesn't change how things were viewed when the playoffs started.

@KeithSmithNBA I’m sorry but Queta/Vuc/Garza weren’t beating the Knicks. It was a great regular season where their wing depth, attention to detail and hustle probably inflated their actual talent level in a playoff series. Sucks they lost this series but they weren’t going to the finals

@TheTown_Sports Yeah, but that doesn't mean you should listen to guys who admittedly don't watch the games, don't understand the sport, don't understand the rules. Most of them are useless on the sports they claim to understand. The rest is just spouting off hateful nonsense for takes.

When you say things like "green team" or "greenteamer" it just outs you as having no thoughts of your own and only regurgitating nonsense from Boston sports radio when they deem the Celtics worthy of five minutes of coverage around complaining about the Pats and Red Sox.

For the millionth time, it was about getting under the aprons, starting the process of unfreezing the draft pick that was frozen, resetting the tax repeater clock. Yes, they saved a lot of money, but that goes hand in hand with getting out from being restricted by the apron. In a year where Tatum was such an unknown it was the right call.
