@ZP12Hoops I think this helped alleviate some of our immediate ball handling concerns….. but passing is going to be so important. Can’t wait to see if Hardy can unlock that for this group to be better than the sum of their parts.

Passing and rim pressure, man… passing and rim pressure… these two things have been major concerns of mine for the Jazz for years. Did they address those concerns tonight? No, I don’t think so… but they got a super clean fit into what Will Hardy has leaned into offensively.

@Mac_The_Jazz Great point. I’ve actually never thought of that and have been an advocate for universal healthcare for a while. I’m sure tons of people think about doing something entrepreneurial but then don’t because they won’t have healthcare for themselves or their kids.

@k_clayt @jayjazz3 I’ve wondered what the value of late firsts will be this draft. Apparently a lot of people think the talent is pretty thin because of NIL money making so many prospects withdraw.

@jazzman400 @jayjazz3 I doubt either gets you into the first round alone. Maybe both of them together if a team needed both skill sets & could roster them both.

That’s good news if the Jazz want to get back in. Tony made a good point on Chad & Art’s pod last night that the Jazz might not have much interest in doing that with the way their roster currently stands.

@k_clayt @jayjazz3 I could see a swap if someone was interested in Collier or (especially) Sensabaugh. They’ll be better than a rookie will be next year, but allows us to keep cheap contracts on the book and kick the can of paying one of these guys down the road a few years.

@jayjazz3 I'm always pick-acquisition happy, but I had the same thought. I think there's *room* on the roster (11 guys most likely to make the team: 8 gtd, 2 non-gtd, 1 RFA), but is another rookie the direction they want to go as they pivot toward winning?

@LiferJazz @TuskedUp I’m hopeful he’s a little Jokic’y and plays a bunch of inverted P&R. We’ll see if he could do it with a traditional big like Kessler, but I think he absolutely could with someone like JJJ. Jokic is one of my all time favorites to watch stylistically.

@TuskedUp I don't care how he plays in the NBA, I don't wanna watch it on the Jazz. I don't like/trust or enjoy watching undersized, slow, heavy legged, bigs that play below the rim. I do not see the appeal at all.

I have Boozer 3rd, so I'm not even his biggest supporter, but Jazz fans are really discounting him as a player. If the Jazz draft him, he'll be the best prospect they have ever put in their system. He's very good, stop acting like he's a total bum.

You don't want to bid against yourself but there is room between bidding with yourself and trying to squeeze a guy. My issue really has been in not having back and forth with Walker's team. Forcing a guy to go get his offer can work but you've already given the guy reason to have a wandering eye. Guys who are under contract can force trades and sometimes guys in FA can try to do the same. We will see. I think there are very few people that want to see a fair resolution more than me lol.

I don’t know if anyone has figured this out yet, but there’s no market for Kessler and there never was. The Jazz made a fair offer and his camp botched it by trying to create something that didn’t exist.

@jpottingaround @cphilits That said, I do hope there is a quick resolution once we hit RFA as I do think the Jazz offer is actually on the higher end of what I’d start with. I think I might start around 23 AAV and work my way up to 28. Jazz really do need him back though. That’s his biggest leverage.

@jpottingaround @cphilits I always feel a little guilty that the fan in me wants to squeeze a player financially for the betterment of the team 😂. On a personal level, I hope Walker gets all he can. And I don’t disagree with your issue with the process based on your sources.
