Isaiah George gets the call-up today and has looked solid in each of his opportunities with the #Isles. He does a nice job in transition, has great gap control and shows real urgency on the rush. Above all, I think he’s taken some leaps in his poise and decision making under pressure. At 22-years-old, he's already shown he belongs in the NHL and even if he doesn’t get to see the ice tonight, the best is yet to come for the young defenseman.

He is eligible to play for #Isles -- believe that was discussed and still could be recalled -- but he'll at least start in Bridgeport. I do think he has a strong shot at making NHL next season. If not, a Ritchie-like situation -- part of last cuts, recalled after 10-15+ games.

#Isles Matthew Schaefer said he actually grew up playing on the right side (his off-side) because there were always so many lefty shooters. So, yeah, he's comfortable on his right, though he admits it's a little different in the NHL than juniors or youth hockey.

Per #NHL media site, #Isles have recalled LHD Isaiah George from Bridgeport with Ryan Pulock day to day with a lower-body injury.
