VC benchmarks. IRR, TVPI, DPI. How does your fund (or your portfolio of funds) stack up?

I think about this a lot. I think we’ll see 3 things, probably at the same time: 1) existing market leaders doing more with less or more with the same and continuing to consolidate market positions; 2) most companies will be smaller, there are still jr people being hired, but only the best fits as opposed to compromises being made to fill positions; 3) more small companies being started by the juniors who were never hired but are smart and high agency, or realize / think they don’t need their seniors to thrive.

I don't get how people are planning to sidestep the very basic problem that if you don't have junior hires right now, you won't have experienced people 5 or 10 years later.

High level venture capital AI testing update - @VTCVG2001 had the brilliant idea of doing an AI-only group. Everyone on our team gets to pick 3 brackets, but must only use AI and each AI must pick its own bracket. No human overrides, no follow up prompts, one-shots only. Initial reactions - @perplexity_ai seems to have done the best research, with @claude in a close second. That said, I'm very upset with @claudeai for picking my beloved @HuskerMBB to lose in the round of 64. @grok did a decent job, but seemed to have less reasoning behind its picks. One issue - @claudeai messed up the final 4 pairings, but still ended up at the same conclusion for the championship game and champion (screenshot attached).

Burn the tokens, use multiple models, use deep research, get the picks, then override the picks based on your gut, random posts on @X, and personal biases. This is way. @NCAA @MarchMadnessMBB @HuskersTalk @grok
