Retired pastor Clive Johnston reacting after being convicted for reading John 3:16 outside a hospital in Northern Ireland. He says the case raises serious concerns about free speech and religious expression.

This morning, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Emirates Specialty Hospital in Entebbe. This 100-bed hospital will cater for specialized care in ear, nose and throat (ENT), ophthalmology (eye care), maxillofacial surgeries, and other specialized head surgeries. The facility is expected to be completed and handed over by May 2027. This comes as a special gift from the UAE Government through H.E. @KagutaMuseveni and will handle referrals from across Africa.

After a full day of engagements in Entebbe, I proceeded to Speke Resort Munyonyo with Natasha, where I hosted Their Excellencies and other distinguished guests at a State Dinner ahead of tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony. I welcomed them to Uganda, a country strategically located at the centre of the world and naturally positioned as a regional hub. From Munyonyo, our guests were able to experience the beauty of our country, our pleasant climate and the uniqueness of our geography. I thank them for honouring our invitation and for the solidarity they continue to show Uganda.

Kampala's slums need an urban renewal plan. We can build decent housing and infrastructure for bonafide inhabitants of the capital city. We would use the money we save from thieves.

Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated. I am grateful to God for blessing me and Maama Janet with a family, and for enabling us to have children even during very challenging times when Uganda was in turmoil. I am thankful to have lived to see my children grow up, start their own families, and now I am grateful to God to see my grandchild - Sasi Karugire, the daughter of Edwin and Natasha Karugire, getting married. It teaches me that when you do God’s work, He will do yours.

Greetings fellow Ugandans, fellow Africans and especially, the Bazzukulu.   I am sending out this message to, first of all, thank God for giving Maama and myself our wonderful children: Muhoozi (Muogi), Natasha (Kukuru), Patience (Pusi) and Kyaremeera (Kyinini)., protecting them and prospering them.  Secondly, I want to thank Maama for looking after them especially for the years 1981-86 when she was the only parent near them. Thirdly, I salute the children for going through the school systems and branching out successfully in the different fields of life – family, career, etc. Fourthly, I thank the Ugandans and some of the Africans for standing with and supporting our family and Political movement in the various endeavours we have been undertaking with them. On this occasion, on the 24th of April 2026, I want to congratulate Gen. Muhoozi (Muogi) on this 52nd birthday. These children, in particular Muhoozi, were born in the resistance, grew up in the resistance, and, in various ways, have made significant contribution to the resistance. Gen. Muhoozi has made significant contribution to fighting corruption in the Army and increasing the lethality of the UPDF.

Gay surrogacy and gay adoption are predicated on the idea that gay men (or women) have a “right” to become parents. This idea is not only morally insane but also logically incoherent. It’s exactly like jumping off a building and claiming that you have the right to fly. Nobody has the right to defy the laws of nature. Where would such a right even originate? Two men cannot be parents. It’s impossible. Doesn’t matter how they feel or what they want. It cannot be. The only “right” at issue here is the right of the child. And the child has a right to be raised by a mother and a father, not two men masquerading as mother and father.

From MUST to the International Space Station! We are bursting with pride for Eng. Zaina Kalyankolo from FAST, a key mind behind the AI-powered ClimCam now orbiting Earth. Her achievement is a true testament to the power of science and technology at @MbararaUST. Zaina helped design and calibrate the camera’s optical subsystem. She worked on configuring and aligning the optical sensors responsible for capturing high-quality environmental imagery and spectral data. Her rigorous testing ensured the system could capture clear images under varying atmospheric conditions. These optics are central to the ClimCam mission, enabling the instrument to gather precise visual data for climate analysis. She worked with colleagues from Egypt, Kenya and Uganda (Kyambogo University, Soroti University)

Firstly, the Business Lounge is a legitimate part of the flight experience - paid for and set up for that specific purpose. But at this point there is no need for speculation - I was standing on the other side of that pillar. The photo was taken when we arrived to check-in - and we were early. I was the very first person to arrive and waited 20 minutes or so before he arrived. The airline had informed us that morning of the flight time change. #TravelUG

Today, I met the World Bank team led by Mr. Qimiao Fan, the Division Director for Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia & Uganda and the Country Manager, Francisca Ayodeji Akala at State Lodge Nakasero. I welcome their support for the SGR and agricultural industrialization. Railways, electricity, and affordable financing are key to lowering production costs. The World Bank are now becoming Christians, by promoting global affluence & prosperity for everyone in the world.

History of Ankole. Did you know that Late Prof Sam Karugire, father of Counsel @karugire is the first MUNYANKOLE to lecture at @Makerere .In 1969,Prof Karugire was appointed History lecturer at Makerere University K'la, hence becoming the 3rd Ugandan to lecture at Makerere.
