Super weird concept but I think we are getting ready to stop separating software management from the software itself. Business value, business risks, security decisions -> all should be a part of the code and only then aggregated on central level for boards to overview.

His reasoning had very strong assumptions (and gaps). Not all of his plans worked as he expected. He experienced a few serious set backs. But he was just... happy with the direction and movement.

I interviewed a person working towards his financial independence. What struck me was his absolute trust in his thinking process - when he saw a crisis in his industry 10 years ahead, he walked away from his company. And started from scratch. But something else was interesting!

If you struggle with direction in your life, do not start your day with any news, email or social media. It pulls you in the direction of what other people want. And what you need is uninterrupted time to figure your wants, and start making any action in that direction.

On the verge of cancelling @netflix - it asks for extra member fee now and then on TV, uses nasty color scheme (blue cancel button, gray 'buy' button) and my kids got caught for the second time now. And it has the audacity to tell me then 'your extra member slot is not used'.

The biggest career mistake you can make is to mix saying a deliberate 'no' to work and slacking under the radar in a bullshit job. One is your choice to work less but still maintain marketable skills. The other is a choice to work less without thinking about anything else.

Learning from world-class performers is pointless. The gap between you and them is so big that their practices are not applicable to your environment. Focus on high-velocity peers. The only exception is if you are very close to being a world-class performer yourself.

@wardleymaps sentire.site, on the other hand, is a tool that I built but could not sell. Could spot project issues 6 months before PM could. It also cemented my approach to AI - use it in very small contexts - as then they are quite predictable.
