Took leave from her job as a school teacher. Appeared in court over and over across 14 years. Vikas Yadav’s family threatened her. She did not stop. In 2016 the Supreme Court upheld the conviction. Vikas Yadav sentenced to 25 years without remission. She said this. No matter how strong a person might be justice will catch up. It may take time. You have to go through the process. Never give up. She fought for 14 years. Alone. While working full time. After losing her husband. After losing her son. She did not just get justice for Nitish. Most companies won’t allow saving of data locally. These days it is all on OneDrive or other cloud storage. Agreed to that there may be some personal data stored on desktop, which if needed to be retrieved reds an FIR. That is why in my last sentence I wrote this is a different case and it need to be pursued legally

In fact, @TCS could have filed an FIR against Nida Khan, for having run away with the company Laptop... That's the LEAST any responsible corporate would do... Can any practising HR professional confirm this basic practice missing??!!

@sumanthchandar @dekhane_mukul @TCS It is not the laptop. The data value is a few thousand times more. Unless FIR is lodged Global Internet authorities won't drop a hook for MAC ID or processor serial number.

Companies won’t file FIRs for every missing laptop. They won’t even pursue it after a point as the cost involved to recover legally is higher than not pursuing it further. In 99% cases the final settlement will be done deducting the cost of the laptop or other assets. But as this case is different, the company should pursue legal options.
