@adamboxer1 3. Same for collection. This requires 10-15 minutes per day. 4. Random bag checks every day to ensure compliance. Very harsh confiscation penalties if found. 5. Pupils tend to just leave them at home unless there is a security/ travel issue.

My daughter is twelve. She’s reserved, with few friends, and last year she had to face the weight of bullying. For this reason, she spends most of her time with me and our two dogs, who have become our little family. For a while now, she’s been stopping to watch me work on my crochet creations: dolls, blankets, small handmade pieces full of warmth. She watches in silence, as if absorbing every single gesture. In the past few days, she’s started spending more time in her own room. Every now and then, she would sneak off with a ball of yarn, only telling me that she was working on “a surprise.” Yesterday, she came into my room, her face glowing with joy, holding a dress she had made entirely by herself, stitch by stitch. She told me that her dream is, one day, to open her own shop and sell what she creates. In that moment, I realized how much love, dedication, and talent she has inside her. And even though I’m her mother and might seem biased, I know a truth that no one can deny: at twelve, not everyone can transform a piece of yarn into something so beautiful. And I couldn’t be prouder.

Hi all, Due to shortage of MFL specialists we have decided to scrap languages in its current form and get a TA to babysit while the kids do Duolingo on their phones. The current Year 11 pupils will be withdrawn from French to concentrate on their Maths and English. Thanks x

I visited Hollymount School yesterday to fulfil a longstanding engagement to talk to the Yr 4 pupils about being a councillor. Really impressed by their tough questioning & the amazing dedication of the staff. So proud of my daughter Bethany who is a Yr 6 teacher there.

@Jobaker9 I wholeheartedly agree. It's fantastic what some teachers do for the kids at their schools. A big thanks to them all - including the staff at @RutlishSchool who did the ski trip at half term!

My son is going to Iceland tomorrow with the Geography Dept for 5 days. Teachers who give up their holiday to give their students new experiences are amazing. He is really looking forward to it.
