@Chem2006 I was doing compulsory Saturday sessions literally twenty years ago. I don't do them now, but it really is crazy that this is the latest fight. Especially in a school that teaches for far fewer school days a year.

@StuartLock The complaining is nuts. If Eton did it no one would complain….

If any of our teachers put on extra sessions aimed at some or all pupils just before examinations, outside of school time... then damn right we are supporting them by making those sessions compulsory & ensuring the school does everything possible to get them there.

The most precious time pupils have is with their teacher, especially just before the examinations. If a teacher is willing to provide a bit more, we won't let them waste it.

@ChapelGuilt @sciantificnew Congratulations. I'm sure you are very smart. Except for you've missed the point here. But well done on being in the top 15% in a highly selective private school.

@StuartLock @sciantificnew Which also allows for the possibility of Michaela being wrong. But feel free to tell me how the learning method which put me in the top 15% in a highly selective private school was wrong for me….

@tweetonlooker I’ll take that as a “no” and that you have neither looked at the calendar nor found out. I’ll block you now as you are clearly trolling.

@StuartLock @balany1 Proving my point that they do indeed benefit from extra funding from donations from sources that have an agenda.

@tideyd01 I do see revenue generating activity. That’s fine.

@tideyd01 Who is funding them extra according to their accounts? Because I see nothing of the sort.

@ChapelGuilt @sciantificnew Maybe we should err on the side of the school that finished literally first out of 4000 secondary schools in England many years in a row.

Pupils from years 9 & 10 have been taking part in a STEM engineering workshop in the auditorium! Some excellent designs are currently being constructed 👏

@StuartLock @sciantificnew They're not the most deprived or vulnerable at all - all lies. 116 children at exam time, very imbalanced cohorts selected by Ks2 scores yrs earlier. Selection by compliance + children framed as poor Do not bother replying to me, I don't care to hear more 'beliefs' over facts.

Houstone in Bloom 🌼 Last week, our pupils planted a variety of flowers in the playground planters, & now they’re looking absolutely stunning as they line our school field. We’re hoping these beautiful blooms will create the perfect haven for bees & butterflies to enjoy 🐝🦋
