"You can't bet against technology." @leharshit, on whether AI-generated film will kill traditional cinema, or just do what every tech revolution has done before. "Everybody hated when cameras came along and there used to be only dances on the Broadway stage. But then so many people are making films now." @ZingrollIndia

In the AI era, the next great software distribution company won’t look like an app store For the last decade-plus, building a strong software business was mostly a game of scarcity. The hard part was assembling the capital, taste, engineering, and distribution to build one enduring app. The discovery systems we built matched that world: app stores, SEO, search bars, rankings, reviews, ads, marketplaces AI has blown up these constraints Soon, anyone will be able to generate software for anything: a workout injury, a work project, a personal workflow, a one-off analysis, a weird niche need only they have, maybe only in a single moment Some apps will last forever, but most won’t. Many will exist for minutes or hours, and be created even faster But just because software can be created at the speed of thought doesn’t mean everyone will become a developer. Most people won’t want to prompt, build, debug, deploy, or manage software. They’ll just want to be matched with the right tool for the job in front of them The same technological wave enabling software creation at scale is also breaking software distribution at scale. Search assumes the best answer already exists somewhere. App stores assume software is something you browse, compare, install, and keep In a world of personal software, the real question becomes: Who understands enough about me, or has earned enough trust from me, to know what software should exist for me right now? The next great app distribution companies may look less like search engines and more like trusted relationships Some will win by importing and processing personal context: your goals, constraints, calendar, body, files, workflows, history, collaborators, and intent. Others will win by exporting taste and trust: experts, creators, communities, agents, and brands that people rely on to decide what is worth using Either way, the new gateway won’t be a search box or an app store shelf. It will be the layer that recommends, assembles, routes, and personalizes software at the moment of need This is the new frontier: context, recommendation, trust, and distribution in the age of infinite software If you’re building platforms or experiences for this future, we want to meet you. Harshit Yadav, founder of @zingroll, just shared an insane global user-behavior shift in 2026. “People outside of tech and LA bubble do care less about AI versus human made films… the average consumer seems to love objectively good content,” he shared. That statement becomes more significant when paired with behavior. Zingroll has crossed 100M+ organic views, with users across geographies and interest graphs engaging consistently with AI generated cinema. What this signals is deeper than adoption. It reflects a collapse of the traditional value stack where production method, budget, and studio backing defined success. In its place, speed, relevance, and distribution are starting to dominate. As video models improve, the gap between AI and traditional production continues to shrink from a consumer lens. At the same time, content frequency is increasing, moving from monthly releases to near continuous storytelling. If this trajectory sustains, 2026 could mark the point where entertainment shifts from studio driven pipelines to algorithm driven, always on ecosystems. financialexpress.com/life/technolog…

People in tech / LA bubble don’t understand that normal people don’t care about AI vs human-made films. I’m seeing people coming to Zingroll from all sorts of places — waiting for AI concept trailers to be released into full-length (esp since video AI models have gotten really good). You can hate ‘AI slop’ all you want as a traditional creator, but normal people care only about content that feels good — not how it’s made. Zingroll is blowing up with a new type of creator: the AI filmmaker. And I’m sure some of them will become household names starting late 2026. Time to fix Hollywood/Bollywood finally🚀

Before @ZingrollIndia, @leharshit spent years building consumer apps: an anonymous social network across Ivy League campuses, an AI meme app gaining traction in Bay Area schools. Each one taught him something about what people actually want when they open their phones. What they don't want is 20 minutes of scrolling to find nothing worth watching. That frustration became Zingroll, an AI-native streaming platform built on a simple thesis: every taste group deserves new content every few days, not every few months. Read about the builder, his career-long obsession with consumer habits, and why he thinks 2026 is the year mainstream cinema changes forever on @FinancialXpress: financialexpress.com/life/technolog…

The Year of Me Since the industrial revolution, humanity has been obsessed with economies of scale. That mindset unlocked incredible things: cheaper food, better shelter, global transportation. But my big idea is that 2026 is the year this flips. Generative AI makes true personalization cheap, fast, and universal, turning the “economy of scale” into an economy of self. Ask yourself: What happens when the most important products stop being mass-produced and start being made bespoke... for everyone? - What if education finally adapts to each child, with students learning at their own pace, getting extra support when concepts are hard, and advancing quickly when they’re ready? Mass classrooms force everyone into the same mold. Personalized learning lets every child reach their full potential. - What if wellness became truly individual? Instead of expensive personal trainers or lowest-common-denominator supplement packs, we could have dynamic, AI-generated health stacks tailored to your biology and updated in real time using wearable data. - And what if instead of being captive to a one-size-fits-all algorithm, your news, shows, and stories instantly adapted to your interests, values, and preferred tone? The biggest companies of the last century won by finding the average consumer. The biggest of the next century will win by finding the individual inside the average. 2026 is the year the world stops optimizing for everyone, and starts optimizing for me (and you!).

. @speedrun Demo Day was a movie. Founders crushed it, the team crushed it, the vibes were immaculate. Feeling proud and tired and happy, but more importantly grateful to get to work alongside the best team in the biz.
