@thegoldenmuzzy All Toronto born players dream to play in Toronto and succeed. The question is how they react when times get tough and criticism starts. Toronto can be the best of both worlds.

Love players who are from Toronto and want to play in Toronto
Lance Hornby 🇺🇦🇨🇦@sunhornby
Raddysh says deal with Leafs started percolating last Thursday: "To come back home and the Maple Leafs, it was a no-brainer. Playing in the GTHL, you're always watching Leafs on a Saturday night. I like the roster, a lot of exceptional players."
English

@qqqspx My guess is a lot more is still to come if the Leafs are serious about being a playoff contender next year.
English

@OgiOgilthorp Generally winning the Calder means the Leafs have a strong farm team that just isn’t good enough to play at the NHL level.
English

@JayOnLeafs Not sure any contending team would want Rielly. Maybe a bottom feeder but does he want to go there?
English

The worst thing the Maple Leafs could do right now is wait around and let Rielly fall back in love with Toronto, because the risk of doing so far outweighs the reward. The time to move the defender is now, here's why:

@mattlabelle Matt, in all due respect that’s BS. Marner is a Toronto kid who would have loved to succeed here. He didn’t accomplish his dream, but he has never said a bad thing about Toronto, even though his car was robbed at gun point and there were a few that harassed him. He loves Toronto
English

@Banx_Leaf Good analysis. Major question is what is Matthews Prime? 60 goal scorer or 40 goal scorer…big difference. Also Tavares not only is a year older but a year slower. Yes he is smart, but time catches up with all.
English

@mattlabelle 100% …..have been missing a big shot from the point for a long time.
English

@LeafsTok Bottom line is the Leafs need a Dman that has a big shot and can quarterback the PP. Raddysh was the best available option, so good on the Leafs for filling that need. With the cap going up, this contract will only look bad in the last 3 years.
English

@WatchMyReview Finally a Dman that can quarterback the PP with a big shot.
English

@Leafslatest Are we going in circles? We are going back to Dubas highly skilled fast free wheeling hockey like when Matthews, Nylander and Marner entered the league, versus building for playoff style heavy defensive hockey?
English

Wants to play an exciting, fun brand of hockey that the players enjoy, doesn’t mind the pressure of being in Toronto, already has experience in Toronto, and is known as a player-first coach. Something tells me Jim Hiller is going to be just fine as the next head coach of the Maple Leafs.
#Leafsforever

English

@TalkeyHockey McKenna and Cowan are unproven, but yes with potential. Tavares is getting older and slower every day. Tavares was -30 last year. Nylander great offensively but defensively not great. Mathews of old or recent is the big question. Knies, can he take a step and stay injury free?
English

@MapleLeaves34 It’s Mitch’s life and not yours. Mind your own business. Mitch had a NMC and controlled the situation as a right he negotiated. If you have a beef with that criticize management not Marner.
English

As someone who struggles often with mental health, what he said was so meaningful and sincere and honestly scary. The comments about him on the other hand are disgusting. If someone has to remind themselves to stay and you call them a liar. You are a bad person. Full stop.
Taylor Rocha@TaylorRochaTV
Credit to Mitch Marner for opening up about his mental health. Addressing his recent "dark times" comment, Marner says there were moments when "the thought of playing hockey was really tough." "People want you around, people want you in their life." 💛 #ForgedInGold

@TDChrisG Chris, I listened to your turning points on your podcast. A big one was Marner miss on the penalty shot against Bussi. 1. Bussi and the team gained some confidence from that. 2. If Marner had scored, no way Carolina would have come back and put that doubt in VGK’s head.
English

So it begins lol. VGK's logo will be on every one of these

Which team will Sergei Bobrovsky play for next season?
English

@globeandmail Marner had three goals and four assists in games five through seven of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. VGK played a total of six games five through seven during this playoff run.

Marner’s old playoff habits resurface to somewhat let the Leafs off the hook theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/…

The Vegas Golden Knights lost in the Stanley Cup final because their best players weren't their best players, says Adam Proteau: thehockeynews.com/news/latest-ne…

English

@tmlfaninvan The fact that Mitch supposedly left and walked away not only from his hometown dream team, but also more money should tell you something. Toronto is toxic and he felt he could live a better life elsewhere. Smart decision.
English

This resonates 100% with me
Also: Mitch TURNED DOWN more money to stay so the narrative of Toronto “driving him out” is absolutely fiction

Lots of fans dont understand the REAL reason so many Leafs fans are thrilled today that Marner lost so here you go … #nhlplayoffs #marner #leafsnation
