I’ve spent my entire life focusing on the success and well being of student athletes. Their success in both sports and academics is paramount. I have no problem with Athletes making money and I have had that stance for many years. But what we have been dealing with the last few years is harmful not only to their total success but also the longevity of College Sports as we know it. Yesterday, President Trump took bold action to preserve and protect Collegiate Athletics. I urge Congress to pass bipartisan legislation and SAVE COLLEGE SPORTS!

AL McGUIRE and his Marquette Warriors win it all, this day in 1977. Dick Enberg, Curt Gowdy, and Billy Packer on the call for NBC Sports. The last independent to win the championship. Took a small, downtown school in Milwaukee, WI and made them a powerhouse...and champions!

On this day in 1978, The Goose was golden in the 1978 NCAA title game, making 18 of 27 shots and scoring 41 points in Kentucky's 94-88 win over Duke at The Checkerdome in St. Louis as the Wildcats capture the school's fifth national championship and first in 20 years.

On this day in 1975, Kentucky stuns top-ranked and undefeated Indiana 92-90 at the Mideast Regional in Dayton, avenging an embarrassing 98-74 loss to the Hoosiers in Bloomington earlier that season. Mike Flynn led five Wildcats in double-figures with a team-high 22 points.

The most toxic person in a program isn't the complainer. It's the talented player with a mediocre work ethic that everyone else starts to emulate.

@CoachSHoltz When my dad passed in 2001 our entire company was devastated. I wondered how best to empower our employees and our own mental toughness. So I invited Lou to come speak. He got us fired up and helped us realize the opportunity we had in front of us. It was a huge help to us all.

The sad reality is that in order to survive in college basketball, in next few weeks, you have to fire the highly paid, unproductive players the way coaches are fired. I think everyone is OK with that.

Honored to be named COY, but this recognition belongs to the people around me. My players bring it daily with their work ethic, sacrifice, and commitment to each other. Thankful for my assistant coaches & support staff who pour so much into our program. Grateful for this group.

Most high schools shouldn't be copying college offenses. They recruit to fit personnel to heir system. You're stuck with what walks through the halls. Build something that fits whoever is in the locker room every August.
