@hatetorycuts @Longleat Longleat have never donated a tree. We did use to buy them from them many years back, no reason at all why they would donate a tree to a town miles away.

@Longleat used to donate tree to people of Melksham New incumbents so preoccupied with raking in money have ceased this tradition

@hatetorycuts @BBCRadio2 @MelkshamTC Sorry to make our one tweet of the year to you, but the only fact in that is potentially the ‘maypole lit with lights’ as Longleat have never gifted a tree, it’s nothing to do with the ‘earl’ and WC have nothing to do with the tree either!

@BBCRadio2 Melksham Town always gifted gorgeous tree from Longleat Since new Earl took over he stopped age old tradition We now have what looks like a frigging Maypole lit with lights as Wiltshire Council don't provide tree & @MelkshamTC didn't think we needed cheering up
