On its 50th birthday , I was recognised/ awarded / acknowledged for my work with @battersea_arts and its wide community of artists and wonderful people . I have been able to learn and do so many incredible things because of this building that has meant so much for so many. I felt touched , as some of my mentors/ friends were in the room! I am a product of other artists / producers who believed and saw something in me - heavens knows how and or why! I can admit I haven’t always been easy to work with. And that is a credit to their determination and motivation for me.I always think how lucky I was to meet these people who in a lot of ways were very different - but cared about me. Real people. With special jobs and magical ideas. Thanks to everyone who decided to do that for me , the people who invested in me, and the artists whom I work with and champion @BACBeatboxAcad . I still have the spirit of the kid from the council estate coming from @SouthThamesColl some days, coming to meet my mates , including @Gambit_Ace and do crazy stuff together .
