it got me into reading too. but if it’s between looking at childhood memories with rose tinted glasses or honouring and ultimately protecting trans people’s lives, i’d pick the latter everytime

@sullenpoetry You do realize that HP got SO many people into reading. Same with Twilight later on. If it’s a series that brought them joy for a time, leave them alone. The author wasn’t always an issue to everyone.

This is a funny argument considering a lot of c!s men lie about their height on drivers licenses due to insecurity. Maybe we should have scales and height measurements 🤷♂️
On the other hand, a gender marker reflects the person whose license it is' gender accurately.
