Chainlink SVR (Smart Value Recapture) is live, flipping the script in DeFi. Built with Aave, BGD Labs and Flashbots. It targets Oracle Extractable Value MEV from oracle price updates. Chainlink recaptures this lost profit for protocols. Here’s the breakdown of how it works:

MEV = profit from tx reordering. OEV is MEV from oracles, like liquidation gains in lending. Chainlink SVR snags ~40% of this value, once lost to @mevlegend and splits it with protocols. Aave’s using Chainlink on Ethereum mainnet to reclaim millions.

How much though? DeFi liquidation MEV hits tens of millions yearly. If $50M total, Aave’s $25M share means Chainlink SVR’s 40% is $10M. With a 60/40 split (protocol/Chainlink), that’s $6M/$4M. In a broader sense, Chainlink could see $40M+ across platforms.

Chainlink SVR taps Chainlink’s oracle network securing billions in TVL to pull this off. No toxic frontrunning, just liquidation backrunning. Aave’s testing Chainlink with tBTC, LBTC, AAVE, and LINK markets. More protocols and chains are coming soon. Its inevitable.

@ladieslovelink @chainlink I think the best way for this to be implemented would be for @chainlink to buy @MetaMask and add all full stack of products they have to it e.g. ccip, data and price feeds, SRV, VRF etc..
