This is not a knock on the AFL, but for the life of me I can't wrap my head around Gather Round being at different stadiums. The best bit of Magic Round is you can get a bunch of mates together, and watch everyone's team play over the course of three days.

Just had a natter to new VFL captain Louis Pinnick. Said it was a 'huge honour' to be named skipper of the team to play the SANFL. 'I actually get pretty shitty when people disrespect the VFL. I've got a lot of passion and respect for the league,' he said. 'Means a lot to me.'
