I got invited to speak at the background brief for a new research report on the impact of new workplace technologies on the quality of life & wellbeing of the workforce. Results showed that: 1) digital information and communication technologies (laptops, tablets, smartphones and real-time messaging tools) correlated with improved quality of life 2) newer and more advanced technologies (wearables, robotics, AI and ML software) were correlated with reduced wellbeing. The findings emphasise the importance of the underpinning approach to change. There will be less impact on wellbeing if people feel that change is done with them, in a human-centred way, not to them. ifow.org/publications/w…. Via @FutureWorkInst. Interesting research by my friend @AleLetelierR on the growing prevalence of young carers. One more reason behind the shrinking UK's workforce at the tails. Mid-age and older workers with work-limiting health conditions and young people looking after them.

@Work_Life_You @FutureWorkInst Thanks for joining us Nancy and for such useful discussion. I loved the comment of spillover effects of wellbeing at work. Sorry I missed you at the end!
