@bernardionysius i think we both got this story from the same person. i remember the proposal was 'no to work. no to property. no to metrics' the metrics one was the only no no.

true story: years ago, my academic colleagues proposed a research project on abolishing private property and abolishing metrics. university supervisors said they had to get rid of the bit about no metrics, is was just too controversial.
