getting onboarded for new job but i’m not celebrating yet. i’ve learned a job doesn’t become real once u accept the offer letter. the tax forms don’t make it legitimate either. even when you’re in the cubicle it’s still uncertain if you got the job or not.

“There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot. The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.”

It's almost as if the purpose of that dumb app is to be spyware on your end and a way for bosses to have control over you on their end... nah microsoft would never create such a bad software like that.

Whatever Microsoft engineer decided to make the Teams status indicator change from green to yellow after two minutes of inactivity, come here. I just want to talk.

lol didn’t know that i was receiving “income support” when i took the sick leave i am legally entitled to from my job
Tom Studans@maximumwelfare

This article by @abcnews should be retracted in full, and an apology should be issued. 8 million Australians are not receiving 'income support'. The study relied on here openly counts accessing sick leave entitlements as a form of 'income support'. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-0…

Australia was once the land of the fair go. Everyone got a fair suck of the goblin's donger. But these days the average working class Aussie battler is getting the short end of the lizard. We're barely getting one lick of the magic toad. You can't even get molested by the bishop.

every single job that sounds fun or interesting to me are the ones where you make zero dollars. I wish I was remotely drawn to the concept of working for a corporation but alas 😭

Australia has the most overpriced and unaffordable homes in the world. Australians are enslaved to million-dollar mortgages, inflation is out of control, and interest rates are going up. Australia has no vision for the future. It can't even see the slow-motion train wreck.
