The war on Iran is a school shooting raised to the level of official US foreign policy. No pretense of a rational goal. Just murdering children for lulz and then committing suicide in hopes of going to Hell. Pete Hegseth is the same person as Dylan Klebold, just on a bigger stage

'As Palantir gain laminated keypass access to our defence offices, Tony Burke has agreed to sell off our biometric data to ICE and DHS in America—US defence contractors are given top secret status, US bases are being expanded, and US interests are being ensured even when they defy the laws that govern us'

“This could be the thin end of the wedge" The @AlboMP gov decision to send Australian military assistance to the UAE is as open ended as the objectives of the architects of the war, highlighting the potential for further involvement. My latest👇 open.substack.com/pub/joeljenkin…

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

I think it would be a really great reality tv show to take a couple dozen boomers, ideally recently retired, and give them entry level white-collar jobs in high cost of living cities and basically just saying "Go try to live."

You also don’t walk out of college or university expecting to buy a new 4 bedroom house, two cars, boats, skidoos, etc. The reason you struggle is because you aren’t willing to wait and make do like we did. Your entitlement is causing you to struggle.

It is time to open a path towards de-escalation in order to restore stability in the Middle East. France calls for the immediate implementation of a moratorium on strikes targeting civilian infrastructure, whether related to water or to energy. Freedom and security of navigation must be restored. As the region enters a period of religious celebrations and renewal, tempers must cool and hostilities must cease, in order to give a real chance to the prospect of a negotiated and sustainable solution.

It’s telling that Oman went public with this before the bombing to try and stop it while the UK quietly sat on this until they could figure out which way the wind was blowing

You cannot claim neutrality, honesty, let alone decency if you don't start any analysis or comment or "condemnation" from these simple irrefutable facts: Using bases across the region, and under the perfidious cover of negotiations, the US and Israel launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, murdering its head of state and massacring civilians, with the stated goal of overthrowing its system of government and subjugating it to their rule. If this is not your starting point, you are a shill.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if infrastructure like this 👇 gets blown up, as of this moment it will take at least a decade to recover from this war - and the truth is that the world's energy picture is probably changed forever. This single facility 👇produced roughly 20% of global LNG supply (aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/18…) and, as of 2011, had taken $70 billion to build (energyintel.com/0000017b-a7be-…). What makes this even worse is that Iran's strike on this was retaliation after Israel attacked their South Pars gas field which draws from the same natural gas reservoir, which is the world's largest by far (9,700 km² - about the size of Qatar itself). Heck, on the list of the 25 largest natural gas fields (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_n…) this single reservoir holds roughly 40% of their combined recoverable reserves - and is nearly 6 times bigger than the 2nd biggest field in the world. And, unlike many of the others on the list, it's only at 10% depletion (meaning 90% of the gas is still there). Which means that, probably for many years, a huge share of the gas from the world's largest reservoir simply won't be extractable, as infrastructure on both sides - Qatar's and Iran's - has now been blown up. From a global energy supply perspective, we're deep into worst-case scenario territory.
