Reform UK will cut your bills. In our first budget we’ll scrap VAT and the green taxes and levies on your energy bill, and save you £200 a year.

@reformparty_uk How cretinous would you have to be to think that - having seen first hand how perilously dependent we are on oil & gas from overseas - the solution is to make us MORE reliant on it, rather than free local sources of energy. I have solar and an EV and pay NOTHING 8 months a year.

Nigel and Robert are picking up the energy bills on St Malo Road in Wigan, but want you to save your money too! The Tories and Labour piled taxes and green levies onto your energy bills. A Reform UK government will scrap them and save you £200.

Later today, @Nigel_Farage and I will be announcing the winner of our energy bills draw. Stealth taxes have been loaded onto bills for years. In our first budget, Reform will scrap VAT, Carbon Price Support and the Renewables Obligation on your energy bill. That’s over £200.

@DavidB22066 @ClaireCoutinho I put in solar years ago, like everyone who understands this did. Only times I need to pay for electricity or to drive are Nov-Feb

Over 40% of this 3000 acre site is on prime farmland. Labour are crushing farmers with taxes while incentivising them to use their best land for solar farms, not food. Meanwhile they’ve cancelled the land-dense, 24/7 clean energy, nuclear plant I signed off. Mad.
The Telegraph@Telegraph

☀️ Ed Miliband has approved Britain’s biggest solar farm despite objections from nearby residents who likened it to Chernobyl. It will cover seven square miles of farmland in solar panels, an area 10 times greater than London’s Hyde Park. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

@DavidB22066 @ClaireCoutinho Ok mate - you continue to shit yourself over how much you're paying at the pump and I'll just drive and get electricity for free for 8 months of the year. You do you.

@Apochriphal @ClaireCoutinho Wow. You seem really odd. We have solar and an EV in our house and I literally don't pay a penny for electricity or fuel for 8 months of the year.

Here’s the problem 👇without gas there’s no grid. North Sea gas is piped straight into our network we use all of it. Why is it better to ship LNG across the globe instead of using our own which creates jobs and revenue here? Solar, which btw I have too, belongs on rooftops not productive farmland.

@TiceRichard We're facing the real risk of WW3 and THIS is what you're trying to make people angry about? We've not paid a single penny in reparations. Who is paying you to try to create division about this?

Mar 9: "The war is ending almost completely, and very beautifully. March 10: practically nothing left to target Mar 11: “You never like to say too early you won. We won. In the first hour it was over.” Mar 12: "We did win, but we haven't won completely yet." Mar 13: "We won the war." Mar 14: "Please help us." Mar 15: "If you don't help us, I will certainly remember it." Mar 16: "Actually, we don't need any help at all." Mar 16: "I was just testing to see who's listening to me." Mar 16: "If NATO doesn't help, they will suffer something very bad." Mar 17: "We neither need nor want NATO's help." Mar 17: "I don't need Congressional approval to withdraw from NATO." Mar 18: "Our allies must cooperate in reopening the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 19: "US allies need to get a grip - step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 20: "NATO are cowards." Mar 21: "The Strait of Hormuz must be protected by the countries that use it. We don't use it, we don't need to open it." Mar 22: "This is the last time. I will give Iran 48 hours. Open the strait" Mar 22: "Iran is Dead" Mar 23: "We had very good and productive talks with Iran." Mar 24: "We’re making progress." Mar 25: “They gave us a present and the present arrived today. And it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.” Mar 26: "Make a deal, or we’ll just keep blowing them away." Mar 27: "We don’t have to be there for NATO." Mar 28: No major quote Mar 29: Claimed talks were progressing Mar 30: "Open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, or face devastating consequences." The reality is these projects only ‘work’ because they’re heavily subsidised paid for by us via our utility bills. A cancelled BESS site I know of would have generated around £400million for its investors. A Canadian pension firm. That’s who you’re paying for TWO hours of electricity. Not exactly secure energy. Cretinous, when we should be going all in for 24:7 nuclear.
