Had a fun crossover between real life and distributed systems failing me. Booked a hotel using Cash + Point using @IHGhotels - card charged and points removed from account but no reservation. Activity in account shows the transactions but no reservation. Computers are bad.

Few things are more upsetting to me than pulling another team's project and being unable to build it because they haven't modeled their dependencies correctly.

A year later, and a lot of reflection, I'm doing better-ish. Still hurt, but have had a lot of love and support from family and friends. Made a space that's mine, and had some fun along the way. SF next :) Still believe in love, will just be more careful next time. ❤️

Life update: Today is both my last day in Seattle and also my 10 year anniversary to the day. Bittersweet to say the least - but I don't regret a moment of it. So many great memories and so many amazing humans. Not sure where home is just yet - but onwards and upwards. ❤️
