lamelo drives 11.5 times a game but averages .9 free throw attempts per drive. let’s compare to a couple other high usage guards.. edwards - 11.6 drives per game, 3.3 FTA per drive reaves - 12 drives per game, 2.7 FTA per drive keyonte george - 10.4 drives per game, 2.6 FTA per drive

this is the point i’m trying to make but it is beyond their comprehension. the only reasonable take ive seen is that he shoots a lot of floaters. that should result in less free throws but not 300% less free throws. he’s “afraid of contact” is a lazy take that will not be accepted

@builtbysauce @Yoogez1of1 i agree with the fact that he’s not going to get to the line as much as these guys because of his style. i watch every game and he consistently doesn’t get calls i see other guards get. honestly feels like his style just breaks the officials brains and they swallow the whistle
