It has been reported that Labour has silently tabled legislation to lower the voting age for local elections down to 16.
No press statement. No media. No announcement. Why?
They are clearly wanting to force this change through before the election without kiwis knowledge. This is the start of a Labour Party agenda to have all election voting ages lowered.
There should be a binding referendum on this issue - not have it decided by temporarily empowered politicians who are arrogant enough to think they know better than you.

What a nightmare the government is causing to IT projects by insisting we add little diacritics above ō ó ò and è é ê ē and à á â ā etc. It has made it near on impossible for computers to search for specific character strings unless all the sloping diacritics are exact.
@nikz The hot water cylinder is good for 4 “regular” showers. We have it on timer to sync with solar generation or cheap overnight power. But you could just have it on 24x7 if that’s an issue.
One way to remove your dependence on oil and gas (Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc) is to switch to electric based heating.
