Yesterday, #Astral #Mission111 was non-stop. We found 110 people adrift on a crowded wooden barge, including children, and even a corpse. Some were in the water. After securing them, 🇮🇹 CG transferred everyone to safety. Resources are scarce where hundreds risk their lives daily.

Obra n.4 en París Escena de naufragio con barco de @openarms_fund La obra de Tvboy tiene como objetivo centrar la atención en el drama humano experimentado por los migrantes, a través de una interpretación contemporánea del trabajo histórico de Théodore Géricault. En el fondo de la escena, se puede ver claramente el barco de la organización humanitaria Open Arms, mientras que los náufragos agitan un pañuelo blanco en un gesto desesperado de búsqueda de salvación, reflejando las realidades trágicas que aún ocurren hoy en día. Esta referencia al pasado y al presente sugiere que las grandes tragedias humanas son inherentemente atemporales, continuando repitiéndose a lo largo de los siglos. A través de esta obra de arte, Tvboy ofrece una visión aguda y penetrante de los desafíos humanitarios contemporáneos, al tiempo que enfatiza la duradera relevancia de las grandes obras de arte en el contexto actual. With the arrival of the #OpenArms ship in Cyprus, our mission in partnership with @WCKitchen in the humanitarian corridor to the #Gaza Strip has been suspended. We are deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the humanitarian convoy of the organization founded by @chefjoseandres, resulting in the loss of seven WCK collaborators last Monday. This assault by the Israel Defense Forces represents a distressing setback in our endeavors to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The end of mission 110 arrives, the one we never could have imagined, the most painful. We miss Saifeddin, Zomi, Damian, Jacob, John, Jim, and James, but they will remain forever in our memory, and we will continue to speak up for them, for the more than 32,500 people killed in #Gaza, the hundreds of humanitarian workers, the destroyed hospitals, journalists and all the "isolated cases" that are not an accident, but part of an structure of death and destruction.
