I caught a grad student at the movie theatre last Sunday. I take my kids there to see Super Mario Galaxy and I see a grad student three rows up. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him he either leaves now no questions asked or I speak with his dissertation chair. He left.

@GordaChechona I like how he's recording himself doing his job, like most other jobs in the country do, but gets stigmatized by a disingenuous Karen and is rightfully called out for it.

This Chinese humanoid robot just shattered the world record for a half marathon, finishing in 50 min 26 sec. This video shows its crash just meters before the finish line where it had to be picked up by a team of humans. The robot is from Honor, the smartphone maker and Huawei spin-off. This robot was teleoperated while others were autonomous. It seems like all the robots had battery swaps along the way.

@HazelAppleyard No. Uncles/Aunts have some responsibility to help out their siblings to a reasonable degree. No one else present was eating cake, only the poster. They could have easily waited for later. Absolutely no reason to set off the nephew. This is not a restaurant, it’s a family home.

@IAmClarkGreggs You asked how a congressman would prove that he had left his extremist past behind. How would you want someone like Byrd to prove it, if his voting record is not enough?

@CenTexLib And if someone with an openly extremist past later renounces those views, what standard should be used to determine whether that change is genuine. How long must that change be demonstrated before political institutions treat it as credible?

@GunnerDobbins Ironically, DC was on the verge of doing this with Black Adam in the movies. The Rock wanted Adam to be a Superman adversary, not Captain Marvel, and I believe they were headed down that road if Black Adam had been a more successful movie.

@spidermanias I'm sorry "how he interacts" his rivalry with Reed is backed fundamentally into the character it's a critical pillar which in turn affects Reed the F4 and the Marvel universe itself

@Wolflikeswool Huh? The rules excerpt that you copied specifically says that the state democratic parties run the caucuses - just like I said. No mention of the DNC.

The DNC gave him VIP treatment. 1.Waived the "must be a Dem" rule. 2.Restored his system access after his campaign literally stole data. 3.Let him hold state funds hostage / violated his Vf pledge. He won the contests the DNC ran (caucuses) and lost the ones the states ran
Hutch@hutchinson

Ok. I guess we’re re-litigating the drama of the 2016 Dem Primaries so let’s unpack it. Bit of a read but I challenge anyone to tell me anything I get wrong: The DNC behaved unethically during that race. They were supposed to operate the primaries neutrally according to their own party rules and the internal emails showed a bias for Hillary and efforts to help her campaign when Bernie was still in the race. There were resignations. It caused chaos at the convention. Not great! But Hillary did not need the DNC’s help. She effectively had the nomination locked by Super Tuesday, which was on March 1st. All of the more controversial leaked emails were from May 2016 and beyond. Again, this was two months after Bernie’s path was sealed off. DNC officials did not hide their contempt for Bernie in those emails but their frustration wasn’t entirely unjustified, not that this excuses their breach of the rules. Bernie decided to stay in the race past Super Tuesday because he wanted to push her platform left. Him staying in longer meant less time, money, and resources devoted to campaigning against Trump. He’d never admit it publicly, but I wonder if he privately regrets his decision. You could say he was operating under the assumption that Trump would get whooped, but his decision to stay in definitely weakened Hillary’s campaign. And Trump was showing signs of competitiveness well before Bernie eventually tapped out. The media has a major role in all of this as well. They played up a horse race narrative for the Dem Primaries because a race that’s effectively over won’t drive as many viewers and clicks. So they talked about Bernie as though he still had a shot well past the point when he actually did, and this galvanized his supporters into believing that. But victory for Bernie was a mirage. He performed horribly with black and Hispanic voters and that alone was enough to seal the deal for Hillary. And the way the media reported on the emails didn’t help things either. You had all of these emails dated well after Bernie had no path, yet the media was presenting them as though these were conversations about how to prevent him from winning. They were well past the point of having to worry about that. So was there foul play from the DNC? Yes. Did any of this foul play prevent Bernie from winning? Nope. Was all of the foul play from that primary from the DNC? Nope. Bernie’s staffers inappropriately accessed Hillary’s campaign data after a temporary glitch left it vulnerable in late 2015. Somebody got fired over it. That’s not great either. All of the arguments that Bernie would have won were it not for the DNC are…bad. Remove super delegates entirely and he still loses decisively. Brazile sent Hillary’s campaign two town hall questions in advance…about drinking water in Flint and the death penalty. It’s bad, but there is a 0% chance Hillary hadn’t already prepared for those questions. All of the favoritism on display in those emails was in the context of the race being effectively over at the time. People claim that the DNC admitted to stealing it from Bernie in court but this is just straight up not correct. So yeah, they helped Hillary out in 2016. But Sanders did not build a winning coalition with his campaign, and Hillary did not need their help. There is no path to the Democratic Party nomination without black voters and they preferred Hillary by an enormous margin. All the rest is just noise.

Pensando. Y luego me suelta: “Entonces esa no es Ariel.” "Yo quiero ver La Sirenita original." Intenté que colara. No hubo manera.
