@jstockwood We had a new director at work & it became obvious after a few weeks that he was unsuited, despite a good cv. Kept him on & it was disastrous. Good staff left or gave up. It took a mass grievance from the staff to get him out. Sometimes it's best to admit a mistake and move on.

Thanks for the support yesterday. No one is happy about where we are at after the effort of the last 3 years. As owners we accept responsibility & your right to negative comments but with 15 games to go the only thing we can do right now is pull close and dig in. #gtfc

@JackTShaw Some councils have done this on the quiet for a while for certain services. Our local waste collection team work Tuesday to Friday and have done since before the pandemic. They do similar hours over 4 days to what they previously did over 5 days.

@Max_Bell_11 The consultation doesn't meet the government's good practice standards for consultations - in that it has already come to a preferred decision. They've just thought about the costs to the NHS and ignored the costs to the population of travelling back and forth to Grimsby.

This was a good debate, and a good motion. Many Councillors on both sides shared very personal moving stories about their reliance on and connections with Scunthorpe General Hospital. We’re not going to let this downgrade fly without a fight. Every option must be on the table.

@premierinn I've tried to book a room at the Balsall Common Hotel today. Every time it I get to the payment page it says there's been an error and to try again later. My bank is showing that one has gone through. I haven't had a confirmation email though.

@fans64 @1500club No - two transit type vans. A silver one and a black one. I hope it gets sorted and the season can start at GP - this type of situation seems to have been heading inevitably towards us since the club and ground were put in different ownership.

@HalifaxBank My parents had an appointment at the Scunthorpe branch this morning. They need to cancel but there's no way to phone the branch. The call centre gave me a number for the branch but it rings dead. So my 85 year old Dad has had to go in person to cancel.
