@20th_Centurygal Watching him sing in Les Miserables is worse! Trust me, that gave meaning to ears bleeding.

I’ve made it pretty clear on here in the past I’m not exactly a Russell Crowe fan…but last night I watched a movie he starred in called Unhinged and wow, very disturbing.
I woke up with it in my head, I can't seem to shake it.
Didn’t expect to say this, but credit where it’s due…that was a seriously unsettling performance.

@runews Spare your racist attitude.
You can’t even defeat a ragtag Ukrainian army after 4 years - bombing your airbases and cities while losing over a million men. And these losers are making fun of India while surviving on its money.
You will be instict, god willing!

@GauravT71548031 @rwac48 We the citizens and taxpayers have a right to know
English

Why this fixation for knowing combat losses? Are any of us relevant to it? All public representatives, and public servants who are required to know, will know. Bureaucratic procedure imposes its own accountability. Auditors, so empowered will know. Losses will be written off. Struck off charge.
What will we gain by making public these losses? Do we adopt this approach to every military loss then?
Sir, apart from giving your adversary a useful tool to beat you over the head with, what other purpose is served?

Sooner or later the truth comes out. Details of the damage have been reported in bits and pieces. It is now that comprehensive reports are emerging. In India no one puts in the effort due to the media being beholden or afraid. Ironically within hours a prominent BJP handle on SM gave all details of aircraft lost on 6/7 May night.

Time for those here and abroad who demanded India make public any battle damage in Op Sindoor, to seek from Pentagon the full details of its losses in West Asia. After all, America, in their view, is the gold standard of transparency and truth. Go on, show you believe in same standards of accountability.

@AnumaVidisha Aren't we passing through such blind nationalism shorn of human values and rationality? In our case it is even more tragic as those leading us have their eyes wide open but they are leading masses into the abyss to profit themselves politically and their cronies financially

How did you get into the forces man? I thought some basic GK (and IQ) is tested. For a moment assuming your gas is truth, some education for you - You don't need a Degree to become a PM.
Now fall out and head for a Bajri.

@DeKoderAI @grok fact check these so called journalists about women safety in bengal. I have heard it is no. 1 in acid attack on women.🤯
English

Women’s turnout is emerging as an important part of the election conversation in West Bengal.
With welfare schemes, campaign messaging, and voter engagement all playing a role, trends on the ground are being closely watched.
This segment explores how women voters may influence the contest and what these evolving patterns could indicate in the broader electoral picture.

@colonelhomsi We are NOT responsible for WWI . But the victor writes the history 😅

@Sohom03 @DrLuttapi Rahul Gandhi is branded a pappu but he fearlessly highlights key issues facing the country before anyone else. He rarely gets the support he deserves. The ruling party's attitude one can understand, but even the opposition keeps him at a distance
English

When Rahul Gandhi raised the Vote Chori issue, Trinamool's blue eyed boy and second in command Abhishek Banerjee mocked RG and concluded that the allegations were false indirectly.
Why is TMC crying now by saying that EVMs are getting manipulated?
Are they losing?

@WaqarHasan1231 every one knows the truth. there are more hindus in detention than muslims

Mamata Banerjee claimed the Trinamool Congress would cross 300 seats. There are only 294 seats in West Bengal.
That statement, in hindsight, says more about the state of mind within the Trinamool than anything else.
For over a decade, elections in the state were marred by allegations of booth capturing, intimidation, and political violence. The pattern was familiar, by late morning, local TMC strongmen would dominate polling stations and influence the process.
This time, that script did not play out the same way.
With central forces deployed and the police seen discharging their basic duties, the space for coercion appeared to shrink. The inability to exercise the same level of control seems to have unsettled the ruling establishment.
What we witnessed last evening was not confidence, it was anxiety.

@Aunindyo2023 Most of the bhodrolok class live outside Bengal and is a miniscule minority? You really are out of touch
English

Contrary to the self-image of the middle-class Bengali, the bhadralok class is a minuscule minority, and most of them live outside Bengal.
They are identifiable through certain carefully curated cultural markers:
1) Restraint in speech
2) Pursuit of 'High' culture
3) Focus on knowledge professions
4) Repudiation of machismo
While almost the entire bhadralok, historically originated in the three 'literate' castes - Brahmin-Kayastha-Baidya - it did not mean that someone from these three castes automatically qualified to be bhadralok.
Unless you were already born into a bhadralok family, entering it required a very specific process of acculturation, and a gradual, but systematic, acquisition of cultural capital .
The bhadralok acted like a caste, which closed the doors on others, even when they came from the Bengali upper castes.
The decline of the bhadralok began in the second half of Left rule, as it had to accede to the pressures of the OBC dominant castes, even while it retained formal control of the party.
Since then, the bhadralok and their offspring have existed in a defensive mode; collaborating as junior-partners, with the resurgent trading caste-communities, that progressively gained power in Delhi, while resenting their ascendance.
In Bengal, those left behind during Left rule, especially upper-castes who couldn't enter the closed bhadralok circles, first backed Mamata Banerjee, only to find that her politics was not going to benefit them.
Since 2015-16, a large section of this upper-caste - ideologically anti-Left, and often anti-secular - has shifted to the BJP.
By now, they have moved beyond the cultural habitus of the bhadralok and seek empowerment through enterprise and finance.
They want another round of change - a Poriborton 2.0
