@RepoleStable It’s a sad day when Kenny McPeek is outspoken about the decline of the sport. It’s either greed, stupidity, or just plain ignorance at this point. How these tracks/racing commissions don’t understand that they all are part of the same ecosystem is galling to say the least

Kenny, it’s brutal hearing you this deflated about our game. Every time we talk, it’s about solutions, fixing things, pushing forward, and you’re usually the optimistic one. But let’s be real…whether you’re a trainer, owner, horseplayer, or fan, frustration is at an all-time high. We’re losing participants every single day. That’s not opinion, it’s a fact. And what are the so-called leaders doing??? @BreedersCup sitting on $100M of OUR money for a two-day event buried in the middle of college football Season. @hisa_us charging outrageous fees that are accelerating the sport’s decline. And the The @JockeyClub pheasant hunting stewards??? Hiding, deflecting, or telling us everything is “great.” Enough with the bullshit. This sport is bleeding, and the people in charge either don’t see it…or don’t care. Our voices are starting to be heard. These entities are hearing our uproar, our unhappiness, and our disappointment, and they are nervously feeling the pressure. Let’s continue our momentum.

@thestaggieman I don’t blame the Preakness. The race has been diminished by new racing trends. Derby has always been 1st Sat. In May, NYRA refuses push back to work with them. So Preakness says won’t help us watch this. Horse racing refuses to act as one group. One hand washes the other

Someone a lot smarter than I am is going to have explain to me why a horse running insanely fast for one furlong means anything for his prospects long term as a racehorse.

@fatbaldguyracin They ran in this race for Breeders Cup. He started slow in 2025. If they won cool but this is part of a larger plan IMO. This was tough field, not as tough as it could have been, but he lost to true Grade 1 talent. And One Stripe this is peak of his powers, he’s fit as a fiddle

Everyone’s asking if my nephew @iradortiz is going to ride Renegade in the Kentucky Derby. The one race that no owner should really put added pressure on a jockey is the Kentucky Derby. Either way, Irad will be on Zany in the Kentucky Oaks. Who do you guys think he will ride in the Derby??? Irad and I have a unique and special relationship. 😂🐎💪
