@kelaher @letsthinkabou20 @NSWHealth You still doing covid? You know you can just go outside and live your life? I know you are attached to the fear of it all and don’t like reality, but give it a go.

At this point in the pandemic Re-introducing work from home recommendations is unlikely to have a material impact on the trajectory of the case numbers. Other countries have taken this view and are focussing their efforts on boosters for the elderly

Dr @nick_coatsworth on reintroducing restrictions - "Telling people they have to work from home again is a big deal."

@TheCryptoLark You can’t put “reportedly” in a statement without the link to the story that supports it. Fake news

@abcnews No one cares. I have a friend that cured “long covid” after a massive night out. Now he’s doing jujitsu and before couldn’t walk up the stairs.

If this is right, how quickly we’ve forgotten the lessons of the last two years. Get public health right first and the economy will follow. Imagine if we’d let this happen in March 2020 before immunisation as some wanted to. Tens of thousands of deaths.

This is huge... nationwide 'economic lockdown' "Spending in Sydney and Melbourne is now near levels typical of lockdown conditions." "Indeed, total ANZ-observed spending in Sydney is at its lowest point since COVID began." via @ANZ_Research

@nick_coatsworth 100%. It’s quite strange how entitled some Australians are to believe that the virus wouldn’t spread. You have to be insane to believe that this wouldn’t occur. People need to get to grips that no mitigates will work.

NSW could be at 25,000 cases a day now. Here’s how. Last year with test positivity rates rarely above 1%, there was underdiagnosis by a factor of three as estimated by population antibodies. Now there is a much higher positivity rate meaning more missed cases.

@jonaholmes48 Is the governments fault your daughter got a higher contagious virus? You guys are actually nuts. How much cushioning do you need? Should the healthy be confined forever?

Daughter just tested positive on RAT. No time to get confirmation on proper test. Bang goes family Christmas for us like 1000s of others. Ho Ho Ho for freedom and ‘personal responsibility’.

@attempt57 What are you talking about? The cases are up but the ICU and death numbers are minuscule and not rising. You are promoting fear and you are factually incorrect.

@adamliaw You’d think after 2 years and a 99.9% survival rate, you’d be ok with moving forward. Just remember lockdowns and restrictions disproportionately affects lower income workers who don’t work digitally.
