The new Heathcliff id literally just looks like Ricardo. I think limbus really HAS been forgetting the ids are STILL the sinners and not just the characters they are based off.

when people bring up the political maturity and 'wokeness' of arknights, it's usually to grandstand over the narrative admonishment of bigotry, or discuss skins. few have the ability to stomach the ugliness of what dismantling power structures like theocracy & feudalism entails.

I do enjoy the game for what it is, but I really think that it wouldn’t be getting as much flak if it was a standalone game and not a sequel to a game that is its polar opposite narratively so yeah

and then you have endfield which might as well be a different universe entirely in both its themes and genre. everything is squeaky clean and hoyofied with a cookie cutter scifi fantasy story and it feels like the arknights name is only there as an afterthought

I think a lot of endfield onlies don’t get that the dislike for endfield’s narrative from og ak players isn’t that it’s doing things differently but it’s written in a way that feels like its completely separate from everything arknights had going on for it

@Oktolyn trvke. why do ppl keep defending endfields narrative and writing by justifying it with actual plot points within the story itself

so I'm not caught up enough on arknights to know enough about the sui siblings to comment on the 13th one myself but i'm noticing that every defense of it always uses watsonian reasoning to dismiss a doylist critique

It’s like skipping ahead 2 books in a trilogy and going into the 3rd and claiming to be the same as those who read all 3

@sunnyora2 @PMoonconfession Well, yeah? No shame in only playing limbus because you don’t have the financial means to to pay for LOR/lobcorp but you do realize it’s a direct sequel from the past two games, and it runs on the assumption that you’ve played the games in sequence?
