Yes. Burley and also a fully fit Dieng would be worth a punt. We have been 3rd in the form table over the last 30 games playing under a manager who played with the handbrake on. With the right manager and a little bit of extra quality that the presumed new budget brings (and potential shift in formation) I see no reason why we don’t challenge next year. We just cannot afford losing that first month(s) to the new team gelling. On the fence personally with Panter. Start of the season he wasn’t great but then he assisted a couple of goals and he was a different player. Depends on the budget and how many we are having in the squad. If any of the other 3 cbs leave then he would be a keep for me. I think Stephenson is a good striker as well at this level. He was never going achieve under the previous managers hoofball tactics but under the right playstyle he could be a 20 goal a season striker.

@rkpdagger @TheMemphisEra Fair point Rob. I may be being a touch to loyal to some. Perhaps Panter I let go. Burley I'd keep, if fit. We owe him that. But we really need some gristle in the midfield. But yep, a start point, then add real quality in midfield and at full back. Imo

Terrible performance that, seasons put to bed now, time to start looking at who deserves to be here next season and who doesn’t, alongside getting a manager capable of winning the league in this division.

@TheMemphisEra @MalcTheDagger This is pretty much what I would do. We add to this with quality but this is the start point for next season. We need to avoid starting next year with 20 new players and waiting a month into the season for them to gel.

The club have basically said if you have a season ticket you can stay (they have your address so misbehave and it’ll be easier to identify you), if you don’t then you need to go elsewhere in the ground. Not sure why there is so much negativity towards this. Maybe the club could issue a mini season ticket for the last few games so that those that want to be there can do so and the club can have their details and just stop the sales on the day? The reality is that the majority of trouble this season has been caused at the station which will likely happen anyway irrespective of where they are put in the ground…

@TheMemphisEra Looks like he’s made 4 or 5 sub appearances this season? Including against us earlier in the season. Only played a few minutes of football in the last 6 months.

Absolutely pathetic. Opening statement says there was no budget that drew people in. I watched you play Step 6 football with players capable of playing step 3/4, blasting teams for fun and making a mockery of clubs that have been establised for over 100 years. Promotion after promotion, all as a result of having more cash than anyone else and turning non league footballers into martyrs, pimping themselves out to the highest bidder. And now you talk about not being able to compete with clubs on a budget. There are hundreds of clubs up and down the country, many with years and years of history, and crucially, an actual home ground. But they are repeatedly shunned for the sake of £50 and the chance to play football in someone else's home ground. And until the FA do something about all of the "new" clubs flocking into non league football with just a wide eyed owner and a YouTube handle, with no ground, no following, no history and no proper plan for sustainability, we will keep seeing it happen over and over and over again. Zero sympathy from me. Sorry.

I waited for him after the game to ask why he felt the need to insult my parenting skills when I questioned his happiness around the clean sheet and managed to have a brief “discussion” with him before he walked back on the pitch presumably to do his interview. I did request that he leave the club but sadly I don’t think that will be the outcome. More likely be out once Tom Rist is back home.

Curious as to if anyone knows how long Bradbury’s deal is? Was no word by the club whatsoever on the length of his contract. Pray to god it’s only a year long deal & it comes to an end at the end of the season.

Need to do it now @KSI @AnwarU01 . That was so poor to watch. I don’t think we had a shot in the second half. Their 23 should have been sent off for the first kick out on Marsh when you consider the phantom kick Howes got sent off for earlier in the season. We need to get a new manager in. Give them a chance to work with this squad, see what is good there (and I think there is a lot of talent already there) and give them time to start building the squad for next season. So frustrating travelling to watch what is a talented squad play so defensively and side to side all of the time. If there is any faint hope of playoffs left this season we need another striker in urgently.

This was the post I was waiting for. Even KSI can see there’s a lot of work to do & that starts with management for me. Think it’s in everyone’s best interests to cut ties at the end of the season, bring someone else in & get a team worthy of winning you this league.

Current table for the National League South The fact we beat the League leaders Dorking 1-0 last Saturday is HUGE. They were on a 10 game unbeaten streak as well. And we could have beaten them 2-0 or 3-0. We clearly have the ability. Just need more of the belief. Need to keep this form against Maidstone tomorrow. Proper proud of the lads. Keep going!

I disagree with the average team. If everyone’s fit then we have a team that is up there with the best in the division. The problem is the manager starting every game focusing on not conceding rather than attacking. I’d love to see what an attacking manager like McMahon (for example) could do with this squad. I’ll caveat this by saying most of the first 11 are seemingly injured at the moment so unless we bring some new faces in then anything other than a Dorking win does seem unlikely.
