As an emergency physician, I can confidently say that the PTSD and horrors witnessed by paramedics and first responders is dramatically more difficult to process than what we see in the ED. The highest respect to my first responder colleagues.

Our sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mike Skelly who passed away this past weekend. Mike worked as a paramedic in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties for over 25 years. The flags have been lowered to half mast at our County buildings in his honour.
