There are Frontenac Paramedics Selena and Adrienne with a new set of Cardiac Arrest Save pins. Pins are awarded to paramedics who treat a patient for cardiac arrest who recovers pulse and circulation before arrival at hospital. It’s a great day to save a life! Well done, both!

(1/4) On Monday afternoon, two Hastings/Quinte paramedics were involved in a motor vehicle collision while on duty and are currently in hospital receiving care.

(2/4) We want to acknowledge the professionalism, skill and support demonstrated by the paramedic crews who responded, along with the support provided by our partner emergency services. Your teamwork, dedication and strength in challenging moments like this are truly appreciated.

(3/4) Our thoughts remain with our injured colleagues, their families and the entire Hastings/Quinte Paramedic Service during this very difficult time.

(4/4) We respectfully ask members of the public to refrain from sharing images or footage from the scene to avoid causing further distress to our staff and first responders.

UPDATE (8:00 p.m.): #CHastingsOPP responded to a collision involving a transport truck and an ambulance shortly after 3:00 p.m. Four individuals were transported to hospital, one with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries and three others taken as a precaution. (1/2)
