An open letter to @HantsPolice A young 18 year old man was brutally murdered, your officers handcuffed him and watched his murderer stand over him laughing as he died. All simply because they heard the word “racist”. It is difficult for me to adequately articulate the feelings of complete contempt and utter disgust I feel for you. It is a long way back for Hampshire police, and UK police as a whole to restore public trust, that starts with holding yourselves accountable. The bodycam footage must be released to the public in its entirety. The arresting officers must be named. Arresting officers must be charged and face criminal charges, they should face lengthy prison sentences if found guilty. An immediate investigation into the procedural and cultural failures within the force that lead to this disgusting failure.
